As you read it, it has all the flavours and feeling of a beautiful love story.

Some bit traditional and a lot of fun alongside. Let's say just another Bollywood movie kinda love.

Well it was a lot more than that and nothing like that!

He planned to come to Mumbai in November 2019 to get parental advisory & move on with the journey ahead alongside Shaili. Kindly note this was Pre-Corona/ Covid-19 era. Things were slower on topics like introduction, wedding cards, wedding dress, make up artist, guestlist, catering menu, venue partner, photography partner and we would say just about everything.

Not forgetting to mention, most couples had (Pre-Corona) their photography partners as the last on the list. To round up a final discount for all that they paid in excess to everybody else on account of keeping the mehfil of their wedding alive.

Getting back to slow November of 2019, things were still fast as parents had already met and dates were fixed!

The plan was to get married in Goa with all the shabang, post which Shaili and Pranav shall move together to Australia for good. Court marriage checked-in and Visa process followed until we all struck gold — Corona.

Things have rather been at a pace never seen in indian weddings. With lehenga, sherwani, baraat, baraati and beautiful intimate home functions all planned without a planner in 1 week.

From Alila Diwa Goa to Aila Mumbai, it was a short cut with a lot of hard work for both families and our then groom to be Pranav Mukim. Unlike the chaos during the planning of the lockdown wedding, as the day arrived everything took shape beautifully.

Matters of heart when addressed with love and faith, always find the light. In this case a beautiful sunset over the calm seas , shining bright deep shades of purple in blue skies blessing the two forever.

How was the wedding you ask?

It was a cozy two day event, with the family and close friends coming along keeping to the tunes of social distancing.

As you see below we all followed the norms, right from make up to venue partner @Taj Lands End.

How many family members were a part of the wedding?

20 family members from both sides. Pranavs sister and brother-in-law could not make it from Australia and attended virtually - 30 friends total

(Not all those invited were able to attend as their family members were at high risk)

How difficult it is to shoot a wedding during COVID 19?

With the norms to safety, we all had our initial hiccups.

However, we are ready with practice to shoot any wedding during corona times. We have reduced the size of the team and added along services such as VR at weddings to address the larger audience from the comfort of their homes and mobile phones.

Suggestions for wedding in times of corona COVID 19?

Well by nature of things the following 3 thumb rules can get you a lifetime of nostalgia.

  1. Keep your party small - This to make you attend to all with the warmth that relationships are made of

  2. Look for complementary colors to plan decor - Have a single tone or two tone decor with limited LED lights, you can choose rice lights to add to the mood of your mehfil of love

  3. Live, Love, Laugh - As you would in a camera's absence. Easier said than done, a slight sight of friendship with the team will make sure it feels like home. It's important to get all the emotions as they come from deep within and like actors we cannot mend them so quick. Hence pro tip is to be yourself and stay aligned with your photography and film coverage partner.
